MEMBERSHIP FEES PAY FOR PROMOTION

Despite a reduction in revenue we have continued to expand the Shop local campaign - #SHOPMONMOUTH. New characters were developed based on our retailers, and featured on banners, press and cinema advertising, and an ongoing social media campaign.

Posters and window stickers

(WE OFFER DELIVERY/CLICK AND COLLECT/ SHOP LOCAL) were delivered to every shop from Cinderhill Street to St Mary’s Street.

A Christmas competition encouraged shoppers to stay local - you might recall seeing the roundels. A Big Thank You to all who displayed letters in their windows.

Christmas Cards from the Chamber were delivered to businesses and we were hoping to organise a ‘Shop Local’ event December 2019 on Small Business Saturday but Covid regulations prevented us from doing so.

A new Monmouth visitor leaflet has been sponsored by the Chamber - with a print run of 5,000. These are available for any business to display: email us if you would like some: secretary@monmouthchamber.co.uk.

They are supplied with a cardboard counter presenter and a quantity has already been distributed to Abergavenny, Raglan Services, the Library and several Monmouth retailers.
